With age, the weight bearing joints undergo wear and tear process. This is called degeneration of a joint and it is as normal as graying of hair or appearance of wrinkles on the skin. But for few people it becomes so disabling that sometimes it requires joint replacement at its worst. The growing age reduces the strength of muscles, the joint movements are compromised and the joints becomes painful. This is commonly known as osteoarthritis of knee joint.

The painful condition of knee joint and spine also causes alteration in gait (walk) pattern and hurt the other joints of the body like hip and/or ankle. Regaining strength and mobility requires deep and detailed assessment of the condition as it may vary from person to person. And it requires boastful experience to plan and execute the treatment.

At Aviral our team of physiotherapists is well experienced and excellent at it. Not only we just plan and execute the treatment for the presenting illness, but we also make sure that it does not reappear.

Accurately summarized, the effect of aging on joints is painful and requires professional care. Treatment should be planned for providing maximum flexibility and mobility to weight bearing joints, which again depends on individuality. For preventing further episodes of knee pain, an experienced and well knowledgeable team is needed.
